August Rise to the Challenge

Last month many shared their experiences helping others during the pandemic. The responses shared were incredible. Across Serco, employees and their families are grocery shopping for elderly neighbors, doing yardwork for those who are not able, donating supplies and monetary funds to local food banks, sending cards, sewing masks, checking in on those who are isolated from family, and so much more. Thank you for all your do in your communities!

This month, schedule time with a friend virtually or in-person if your state and local policies permit. Remember to help reduce the spread of COVID-19 by washing your hands, maintaining physical distance and wearing a face covering if physical distance is hard to maintain. Spending time with our support systems is vital to our overall wellbeing. Get creative with your social connections. A few ideas are listed here:

  • Host a virtual bake off. Winners could be for best presentation or most creative.
  • Start a virtual book club. Invite a few friends to join and meet virtually to discuss the book.
  • Neighborhood outdoor movie. Each family can bring a picnic or snacks and a blanket while staying physically distant.
  • Take an exercise class together. Select an online class to take at the same time.

Once you have scheduled time with a friend or family members send an email to wellness@serco-na.com to earn one wellness ticket.
