June 2019 – Take time to volunteer
There are m any benefits to volunteering. Volunteering and helping others can help you reduce stress, combat depression, keep you mentally stimulated, and provide a sense of purpose. Volunteering doesn’t have to involve a long-term commitment or take a huge amount of time out of your busy day. Giving even in simple ways can help those in need and improve your health and happiness.
To earn a Wellness Ticket this month – volunteer! Afterwards, send an email to email@example.com with details on what you did and, if available, any pictures you took during your event. Select individuals may be featured in our next quarterly newsletter!
Need ideas on how to volunteer? Check out your community center, local library, or even search online for options near you. Events like community fairs, county festivals, and even sporting events sometimes need volunteers to help; figure out what interests you and then see if there is a corresponding event nearby. Who knows – your one-time volunteer event could become a lifelong hobby!
