May – Brain Teasers
May 2019 – Keep that mind sharp!
We like to keep our bodies active, but why don’t we invest the same amount care to our minds? According to the latest finding in neuroscience, your brain reaches peak performance between ages 16-25, meaning cognitive function begin to decline by age 26! Doing some type of mental exercise, such as brain teasers or word and number games, can help to boost overall brain activity.
Four brain teasers are listed below; respond correctly to at least two of the four brain teasers to earn one Wellness Ticket. Responses should be sent to email@example.com along with your name and employee ID number.
Brain Teaser 1: Your parents have six sons including you and each son has one sister. How many people are in the family?
Brain Teaser 2: What has a mouth, but cannot eat; moves, but has no legs; and has a bank, but cannot put money in it?
Brain Teaser 3: A girl is walking down the road with a doctor. While the girl is the doctor’s daughter, the doctor is not the girl’s father. Who is the doctor?
Brain Teaser 4: A man is headed to a mountain along with a lion, a goat, and a basket of vegetables. On the way, he needs to cross a river and the boat can only carry two things at a time. If he takes the vegetables, the lion will eat the goat. If he takes the lion, the goat will eat the vegetables. How does he cross the river?
