February – Know Where To Go
It’s important that you know where to go for medical care when you need it. There are some big differences between visits to your primary care provider (PCP), Urgent Care Center, and the Emergency Room, such as a cost and time spent waiting for care. The table below provides a good frame of reference to help you know where to go in the future.
Additionally, the table below provides more specific examples of services that each facility can help with.
You have 2 opportunities to earn Wellness Tickets this month:
- Provide a list of 2-3 Urgent Care Centers that you could go to, before going to the ER. This should include the facility name and address.
- Answer the following scenario-based question:
You’ve had a cough for a day or two and have now developed a low-grade fever. You call your Primary Care Physician (PCP), but the next available appointment isn’t for another 3 days. Where can you go instead?
Send your response(s) to email@example.com along with your name and employee ID number.
